After weeks of fan campaigning to get them on The Ellen Show, Canadian Olympic figure skating pair Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir finally made their debut on the daytime series today.
The two-time gold medal Olympic winners are the most decorated figure skaters in history, which means that their entrance onto The Ellen Show couldn’t disappoint. Not surprisingly, it didn’t.
Treating them like any other beautiful pair of celebrities on her show, host Ellen DeGeneres got down to business and tried to uncover whether the pair were dating in real life. While we’re still holding out hope that Tessa and Scott will one day fill the void left by the break up of Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling, the pair continue to reiterate that they’re just friends with great chemistry on the ice. Like, GREAT chemistry.
To confirm that they are in fact telling the truth, DeGeneres played a round of The Definitely Not Dating Game, where Moir and Virtue had to answer personal questions about one another. They did amazing and probably scored higher than most romantic couples, so maybe they are just friends. Plus, spending every day with the same person for 20 years does provide a lot of downtime to talk about who would play you in a movie about your life.
Of course, Ellen isn’t the only person trying to get to know the hugely popular skating duo better. Virtue and Moir recently stopped by the Much Studios and answered some of our most burning questions in the Much Confessionals. We totally don’t believe that no one wants to hang out with them, especially since it’s our life goal to be their bestie.
